You’re entitled to a potential $2,400 WOTC for every 18-39 year-old employee you hired in 2014 who lives in any one of over 100 qualifying zones across the U.S. Reviewing your 2014 new hire home addresses to find those living in a qualifying location is all that’s required to qualify for the credit.

To obtain your 2014 credit, you’ll need to identify the qualifying employees and file the correct paperwork before April 30th, 2015 to retroactively qualify your 2014 new hires for WOTC.

For those who don’t mind more detailed employee communication, additional new hires categories that could be retroactively vouchered by April 30th, 2015 include:

• Unemployed Veterans (including disable veterans)

• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Recipients

• Food Stamp (SNAP) Recipients

• Vocational Rehabilitation Referred Individuals

• Ex-Felons

• Supplemental Security Income Recipients
